Challenge 

An international oil company (IOC) needed solutions for managing ‘tag’ information stored across multiple systems and platforms in order to create the ability to share and collaborate between teams, reducing redundant efforts cost while improving planning of work scopes.

Solutions and Results 

• Partnership established with IOC to develop trusted access to systems and data structures
• Asset Information Services data science team worked directly with data controllers and technical leads to integrate the data systems via R2S digital twin platform
• Data silos became securely accessible to team members through appropriately established permissions that allowed for information sharing between staff and contractors at the right levels
• Resulted in reduction of errors and security risks both for IOC and contractors, as well as saving time and cost by ~$10 million, while mitigating risks of manual data transfer
